it's vacation time! every memorial weekend we take a trip with my sister and her family and my bff that i have known almost my whole life (i know i was under 1 when we met). this year with our new addition it brings the grand total to 8 kiddos under 10. the ages are 1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9!! i know we are crazy. but i keep saying we are making memories, right?

i'm shredded wheat - well maybe strawberry mini shredded wheat...

30 day shred update!

this is the video I have been doing for 30 days (truthfully -i skipped a few days so i think it is more like 20 something days. i can honestly say i can tell a difference. it isn't an easy video but i can make it through it without yaking - not like p90x. this is my favorite workout video so far and i plan on keeping it up.

my favorite part about the whole experience is my girls wanting to workout with me and trying to follow the video. my 3 year old ask me to put in exercise over dora! having my girls understand the importance of staying in shape has been a huge motivator for me. i want to be a good role model for them.

so tomorrow we leave for vacation and i am taking jillian with me and convincing the other ladies on the trip to work out with me. wish me luck!!!

we rock - well they do i just watched (and boy was i exhausted when it was over)

i am so proud of and for e and her soccer team for winning the u10 girls champs at tournament this past weekend. it was such a wonderful time (admittedly i missed some games playing in the hotel pool with l- but still fun none the less). hubs couldn't stop smiling and i am so glad for him. i know coaching is something he truly enjoys doing and he is so good with the girls.

i think sports for girls is so important. one of the many reasons i think this is because they learn how to play together as a team and achieve a goal - great life lesson.

i never played sports as a child and i really regret it. i was small and skinny and super short (not a typical athlete so i guess it was never considered i should play anything). i am sure i could have found my groove in something though if given the opportunity. i guess that is why i want to be so open minded for my girls and embrace whatever they seem to enjoy and give them opportunities to explore new things and life adventures.

what are you waiting for?

so i bought it, now i have to actually do it. i am the proud owner of the dvd 30 day shred. i wanted a video that was short enough in time that i felt i could work it into my schedule but effective. 20 minutes and a guarantee it would work - heck yeah!
